The Border Between Heaven and Earth

Two days ago, we were chatting about "dream" when this place came out of my mind.

we were talking how i had so many dreams, and the biggest dream of all is to travel all around the world "someday". that is why i need money for lol

my friend then asked me "out of all the places around the world, where is the place you want to visit the most?", this place came out from my mind right away. my obvious answer.

Every other girls may want to go to Paris or London or Maldives, yeah, i want to go to there too, but this is the places i want to visit the most, the more i know it is not that easy to get into this place, the more i want to go. :D

The place is called "The Border between Heaven and Earth", at Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia.

This is an amazing scenery, isn't it? well, i love the sky personally, so i know that i love just seeing this picture, and the experience will be worth a while.

How is it not easy to get there? The first time i fall in love with this place, i have searched how to get there from my country and it ain't easy.

Supernova#5 : Gelombang

got this book yesterday, one day ahead of the born day.
read this book for almost 8 hours, finished by almost 3a.m

as always, i love supernova series as they never disappointed me, or should i say that the writer, Dee, never did. The first 15 pages reminded me of the first episode of Supernova, and the remaining one reminded me of every character that has made the journey so far. Everyone from the first till now, and i hope when i write this review, i don't give you all the spoiler. but i can't help if by any chance, i must say it, so be aware. :D

why i write in english? i think this is the after effect from getting carried away by Alfa and his journey till New York that almost entire conversation was done in English. hahaha

Well, mari bersua dengan bahasa nasional kita. Sekali lagi, Dewi Lestari menciptakan Alfa dan membawaku ikut bertualang dengannya. Hal yang selalu aku kagumi dari tulisannya, halaman pertama menciptakan gerbang masuk yang kemudian di dalamnya aku berkenalan dengan tokoh utama dari buku tersebut. Aku mengakui bahwa, tulisan di dalam serial supernova, terkadang sulit dipahami, terkadang perlu membaca satu kalimat berulang-kali, but who cares? as long as i still got carried away in the end, by the Alfa, hisself.

I dont know why, hampir setiap kalimat yang dipilih membuat bulu kuduk berdiri saat membacanya, mungkin karena lingkungan Alfa yang berbicara dengan gaib, atau karena petualangannya yang terlalu luar biasa. Diksi dari cerita Dee selalu menarik, menarik dalam arti sebenarnya, dan "menarik" pembacanya hanyut, diterjang gelombang, dan aku salah satunya.

i have always wondered, what will be the end of this story? since i still try to connect the dot every here and there, every now and then, and i still haven't thought of anything. Pencerahan sih setelah petualangan Alfa ini, setidaknya sebuah rencana tersampaikan, meskipun aku belum tau apa itu, tapi mendengar Alfa mengingat rencananya, sepertinya terlalu besar dan rumit, atau mungkin terlalu sederhana. Entahlah, aku berhenti berusaha menebak, menikmati arus cerita, berencana membaca ulang semuanya dan menunggu lagi "Intelegensi Embun Pagi".

I am happy that Dee always find something to tell, from the things i don't even know it exist, till things that i have always been curious about it, something like "lucid dream" makes me like "Gelombang" even more, membuat Gelombang memiliki tambahan nilai tambah yang memang sudah ada meskipun dia tidak membahasnya. It's just personal interest, though. Dan tambahan bahasa asingnya, well, i learned a lot from Alfa and waiting for more to happen in the next series, dan bertanya2 itukah yang terakhir?

FTLY (korean) and Joseon Gunman

Lemme make a quick post here since i will be busy with my thesis soon and i think i wont be able to post about it later if i drag it on and on, "Later" becomes a word that i should avoid nowadays.

ah! beware of the SPOILER if you really want to read this because once i write, i have the habit to spoil. lol

Fated to Love You (korean version) is having a happy ending with the baby! (see, now the spoiler is coming up in the first sentence). If you read my post before this about drama, i remember i write there the reason why i watched this drama and i dont want to write about it anymore.

The Taiwanese version was better in my opinion, BUT now i dont know which one is better since every drama has its own charm. I love how the story progress in the taiwanese one till the moment the girl (i forgot the name) had a miscarriage and the very opposite of Korean version that i like more after Miyoung comes back from Paris. It's more bearable to watch but again, be aware that near-the-ending-episode is tearjerkers that makes me cry two episodes straight ahead (about two hours!!).

The ending in this drama is as predicted since it is just a remake and well, although the probability of me re-watching a drama is so low, i think i may rewatch this in the future (10 years later? hahaha)

Joseon Gunman is as interesting as fated to love you, i like how the story progress all the way till the end but i dont like the ending, to be honest, the ending is a happy one but doesnt give me the real happy ending feeling. If you dont know what i mean, you should try to watch only the ending here.

I dont know (maybe it's just me) the reason but maybe because it is extended for two more episodes and they drag it and make more twist. For me, the ending should be on episode 21 and that is that. the scene that is at least deserved to be a real ending for this drama though i still need to see Choi Won Shin to die if they give me that ending. Although i said it like that, this is still a good drama, will be enjoyed by many, a breathtaking one and well, at least i can say, poor Ho Kyung :'(

Well, it seems like i am paid to do this but i am not and don't get anything from this. It's just my favourite drama and that is all the reason, period.

If everyone remember Itazura na Kiss, a manga that yet to be finished by Tada Kaoru before she passed away, the everyone must know that the manga has been adapted to anime and live action aka drama in many country. The anime is so goo

The three biggest country that produce famous drama everywhere : Korea, Taiwan, and Japan had made so many versions of this drama and i will talk about one of them, now.

The earlier version of this is Japanese with the same title, next i think it's either Korean version called playful kiss or Taiwanese version called It started with a kiss. The next one is They kiss Again which is the second season of It started with a Kiss and as i have always said that the Taiwanese version is the best one and i still will say so.

So, what will i talk about? hmm, last year, there is a new version from Japan drama land that is called : "Itazura na Kiss : Love in Tokyo" and i can't say this is the best one, but i will say this is the cutest one!
and the good news is the second season from that version with the same title is  COMING SOON!



well, i am anticipating this drama because of Miki and Yuki and their cute relationship. The best thing is the give out the honeymoon version that : "Itazura na Kiss : Love in Okinawa" and it is like Woahhhhhhh :D :D

FYI, this version of Love in Tokyo will be most likely the same storyline as the anime and the taiwanese version and it will be about Kotoko and Naoki's married life and Kotoko's struggling in the nursing school. The synopsis is here and it will air at September 12th, 2014.

Marriage Without Dating

one sentences : TvN has almost never failed to make the best drama with the best ending scene!

Nah, as i've said at the post before that this drama shouldn't have this title because of the fact that they date and get married later after that but well, forget it. First impression of the first episode was giving a good vibe and here i am, waiting and watching till last, finally, i shall copy JangMi's word that "The Marriage is so like us" and i love that ending.

Although this drama gives the twist till the end, i still love the idea of the ending. if they give the marriage ending like something-doesnt-happen-there, i think i wont love it that much.

Last but not least, i recommend this drama! ThankYou.

Swiss : Little Snow in Zurich - Alvi Syahrin

Because this is Indonesian novel, i think i'll write this in Indonesian language. So let me be.

Buku ini gue beli karna merupakan edisi "setiap tempat punya cerita" dimana latarnya adalah di luar negeri. Gue suka dengan cerita- cerita berlatar di luar negeri karena setidaknya, imajinasi gue bisa digunakan disini. 

Hmm, tadinya gue mau nulis review di goodreads.com but well, setelah membaca review orang- orang, sepertinya review gue bakal sebelas dua belas sama mereka, jadi sekalian saja gue tulis di blog ini.

Swiss, hal pertama yang terbayang jika menyebut Swiss tentu saja adalah salju, dan tentu saja, prolog dan epilog dari buku ini yang melihat dari POV "si salju" bakal jadi bagian terfavorit gue akan buku ini. Hal kedua yang menjadi favorit adalah, campuran bahasa swiss disini yang tentu aja jadi memberikan kesan kalau si penulis benar- benar melakukan riset buat novelnya ini. Opini tentang adanya bahasa asing ini mungkin bias karna gue sendiri suka ngomong campur aduk bahasanya dan gue suka gaya bahasa begitu. hehehe

Selain itu, gambar- gambar di dalam novel ini juga cukup oke, i mean, itu memperkaya imajinasi banget meskipun gue baca buku ini tengah malam dan selesai jam 2 pagi.

Selanjutnya mengenai isi, yang membuat rating gue di good reads gue turunkan menjadi 3/5 despite of kelebihan- kelebihan itu tadi. Gue senang sih, seenggaknya novel ini dinarasikan dengan baik, dan enggak kayak buku travelling yang bikin gue jadi capek bacanya. Narasi tentang latar dan kejadian itu mengimbangi satu sama lain dan i like it, honestly.

Nah tapi yang gue kurang suka adalah karakternya sendiri yang ya well, gue tau mereka SMA tapi mereka tidak dibawakan seperti SMA, bahkan awal- awal membaca ini, dalam dunia imajiner gue itu, mereka mungkin SD atau SMP, ya begitulah. Selain itu, tokoh utamanya Yasmine atau Rakel? well, gue setuju dengan pertanyaan salah satu komentator goodreads ini karna gue juga gak yakin siapa tokoh utamanya. Yasmine gak punya latar kenapa Yasmine itu Yasmine, you know what i mean, sementara Rakel dibentuk dengan sangat baik, gak seimbang gitu sih.

Elena dan Dylan, gue akan lebih tertarik kalo mereka enggak "datar-datar" aja, i mean, gimana ya, Gue sempet mengira masalah mereka musuhan akan lebih dari konflik yang diceritakan penulis, misalnya Elena suka sama Dylan atau apalah, dan baikan dengan sedikit lebih "klik", bukannya "kita uda maafin dari dulu kok." Buat gue sih jadi gak berasa klimaksnya mengingat Elena sama Dylan sempat berpandangan kalau si Rakel ini gak berubah dari dulu. Bahkan putusnya Rakel sama Reene si ex lebih dramatis dari pertengkaran sahabat ini..

Hmm terus ya gue gak perhatiin yang lain- lain sih, yang kalau kata komentator goodreads yang sama ini namanya random rants, tapi betul sih, ini random rants yang kena banget di gue pas si Rakel terbang dari Swiss ke New York dan dia lewat Asia, baiklah, gue jadi bertanya- tanya dengan konsep bumi itu bulat dan eropa ke amerika gak usah lewat asia, atau gue yang salah. hahaha

Terus balik ke karakter, agak sebel sma Frau Steiner yang randomly ngajak terbang ke New York disaat yang terlalu telat dimana harusnya menurut gue cerita akan punya ending lebih baik saat "agenda musim dingin" selesai ditambah dengan sedikit epilog tentang salju dan it's done. itu cerita yang gak perlu sih kalau menurut gue. Anyway that's my review. Maaf kalau ada kesalahan kata- kata dan Sukses terus ya, Alvi Syahrin.

1. King Of High School - it just ended some days ago, so i will give a separate review, maybe..

2. It's Okay, That's Love



i have so many reasons as to why i decided to watch this :
* I have interest in psychology things and whatever that comes with it
* The main lead is Jo In Sung and Gong Hyo Jin, that successfully acted in "The winter, the winds blow" and "The master's sun". I love both of them, and it wasn't dissappointing, after all.
* The story it self is unique in it's own way, and well, as i have always said, the first episodes has made me want to watch more.
* As it goes on, this drama has something to look forward to in the next episode, always.

3. Joseon Gunman



Okay, It's Lee Joon Gi, but the poster wasn't catchy enough to catch my attention, at first. I tried mainly because Koala was recommending it in her blog and she even makes the recap. Simply because i always love her recommendation and she always have watched almost the same genre with me. The first episode of this drama did catch my attention and i start to love this drama after that.

And anyway, Lee Joon Gi's japanese is awesome. The synopsis is HERE

4. Fated to love you (korean version)




i really really don't like Jang Hyuk hair style changed and because i already watched the taiwanese version and i like it so much, so i try to watch this. Luckily their hairstyle change after 12th episode i bear with it.
The story is just as awesome as the taiwanese version but to be honest, i like taiwanese version more. It's just more something "click" with me. hahaha

5. Marriage without dating



the OTP's chemistry is so adorable. and they acted so hilarious. lol. but somehow i feel like the title shouldn't contain marriage because they still haven't married yet. well, whatever. tvN never dissappointed me with their rom-com and hopefully the ending won't be dissappointing as well.

6. Jang Bo Ri is here



This drama is too makjang seriously but i always sticked with it till now. and the main lead is so handsome. hahaha but i don't recommend it to anyone who doesn't like too long drama because i feel like this will be my first and last time lol

Woah, kinda miss this blog! I haven't written anything at all for quite a long time. I'm busy with stuff at college and here we go, get to the point.

Wonder by R.J Palacio got my 5 stars because this book has made me feel a really complicated feeling, and if i can say, the whole Via emotions is likely my own feeling that she described so well from the start.

If there's a book in front of me right now, the first thing i will love after finishing it is to list the quote(s). Not literally the first thing i do though because usually i spend time digesting it all over again. (if you know what i mean, lol)
