TFiOS - Quote#2

“It's a metaphor, see: You put the killing thing right between your teeth, but you don't give it the power to do its killing.”

“That’s part of what I like about the book in some ways. It portrays death truthfully. You die in the middle of your life, in the middle of a sentence”

“You are so busy being YOU that you have no idea how utterly unprecedented you are.”

“Sometimes, you read a book and it fills you with this weird evangelical zeal, and you become convinced that the shattered world will never be put back together unless and until all living humans read the book. And then there are books like An Imperial Affliction, which you can't tell people about, books so special and rare and yours that advertising your affection feels like betrayal”

“You realize that trying to keep your distance from me will not lessen my affection for you. All efforts to save me from you will fail.”

“There will come a time when all of us are dead. All of us. There will come a time when there are no human beings remaining to remember that anyone ever existed or that our species ever did anything. There will be no one left to remember Aristotle or Cleopatra, let alone you. Everything that we did and built and wrote and thought and discovered will be forgotten and all of this will have been for naught. Maybe that time is coming soon and maybe it is millions of years away, but even if we survive the collapse of our sun, we will not survive forever. There was time before organisms experienced consciousness, and there will be time after. And if the inevitability of human oblivion worries you, I encourage you to ignore it. God knows that’s what everyone else does.”

“Grief does not change you, Hazel. It reveals you.”

“My thoughts are stars I cannot fathom into constellations.”

“As he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once.”

“That's the thing about pain," Augustus said, and then glanced back at me. "It demands to be felt”

“Maybe 'okay' will be our 'always'”

“But it is the nature of stars to cross, and never was Shakespeare more wrong than when he has Cassius note, ‘The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars / But in ourselves.”

“The real heroes anyway aren't the people doing things; the real heroes are the people NOTICING things, paying attention.”

Startup Asia Jakarta 2013

I have a great experience being a volunteer in this big event!
I can meet so many great people and take courage more to talk in english, to know that such a big of event can't happen without a teamwork and everything.
I meet so many new friends, and smile too much lol

In this event, my job is to help a singapore person, the superwoman called Gwen, as the PIC of the press conference, Well, and help to translate and even being a MC too.. it was such an hectic day but i was having fun anyway. though i must wake up at 4.30 a.m just to prepare to go to this event.

Sadly, i didn't, or precisely, forgot, to take a photo with Gwen, ahaha she is such a kind woman.

Secret (2013)

Another drama that has a very rare sweet ending scene. ahahaha
Fall in Love with Jisung.

The soundtrack is good.
The storyline is rare and well, recommended drama so far.

Ahn Do Hoon made me want to kill the guy like that for sure.
And, the girl, OMG, she is too far, to sacrifice herself like that for the guy like THAT. lol

i love this drama anyway. :)

Paper Towns - John Green #Quote(con't)

"I like the strings. i always have. Because that's how it feels. But the strings make pain seem more fatal than it is, I think. We're not as frail as the strings would make us believe. And I like the grass, too. The grass got me to you, helped me to imagine you as an actual person. But we're not different sprouts from the same plant. I can't be you. You can't be me. You can imagine another well-but never quite perfectly, you know?"

"Maybe it's more like you said before, all of us being cracked open. Like, each of us starts out as a watertight vessel. And these things happen - these people leave us, or don't love us, or don't get us, or we don't get them, and we lose and fail and hurt one another. And the vessel starts to crack open in places. And I mean, yeah, once the vessel cracks open, the end becomes inevitable. Once it starts to rain inside the Osprey, it will never be remodeled. But there is all this time between when the cracks start to open up and when we finally fall apart. And it's only in that time that we can see one another, because we see out of ourselves through our cracks and into others through theirs. When did we see each other face-to-face? Not until you saw into my cracks and I saw into yours. Before that, we were just looking at ideas of each other, like looking at your window shade but never seeing inside. But once the vessel cracks, the light can get in. The light can get out."

Paper Towns - John Green #Quote

"Interesting Capitalization." I said.|"Yeah. I'm a big believer in random capitalization. The rules of capitalization are so unfair to words in the middle."

"Light, the visible reminder of Invisible Light."

There is a corner of the word somewhere far away from here where no one knows what "Margo Roth Spiegelman" means. And Margo is sitting in that corner, scrawling in her black notebook.

"It would have been nice to tell him that, whatever it was, that it didn't have to be end of the world."|" Yeah, although in the end something kills you."|"Yeah, I know. I'm not saying that everything is survivable. Just that everything except the last thing is."

"When i've thought about him dying- which admittedly isn't that much- I always thought of it like you said, that all the strings inside him broke. But there are a thousand ways to look at it: maybe the strings break, or maybe our ships sink, or maybe we're grass- our roots so interdependent that no one is dead as long as someone is alive. We don't suffer from a shortage of metaphors, is what i mean. But you have to be careful which metaphor you choose, because it matters. If you choose the strings, then you're imagining a world in which you can become irreparably broken. If you choose the grass, you're saying that we are all infinitely interconnected, that we can use these root systems not only to understand one another but to become one another. The metaphors have implications. Do you know what i mean?"

"Nothing ever happens like you imagine it will." | " Yeah, that's true. But then again, if you don't imagine, nothing ever happens at all."
